You know this situation: you see a nice little house at the seaside, and you think “Oh, I’d like to have one like this”. If you’re more like me, you see a nice little sailboat in a lonely bay, and you think “Oh, I’d like to have one like this and live a free and adventurous life on it”. If you’re even more like me, you’ll start thinking about what exactly your boat would look like, how you could make it independent from a power grid, where you’d go, how and when you’d be able to afford it… And if you’re totally like me, your idea will bloom so beautifully and you’ll get so used to the idea that you’ll end up thinking “Hey, how about I just do that?!”.
I want a sailboat, and I’m going to have one. I’m going to live on it, enjoy the view of the sea, the slight rocking on the waves in a harbor or bay, and the possibility of sailing away at any time. I want it to be my very own little thingy, and this means that I want it to be independent from any power grid and especially from fossil fuels. I just opened this blog to write about my reasons, plans and progress.
